Everyone should be able to use this site

ELEV8 Dentistry is committed to making elev8care.com usable for as many people as possible, including people who browse with screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or reduced-motion settings.

We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a box to tick. As we continue rebuilding the site, accessibility is part of how each page is built, not something added afterward.

What we do

• Build pages with semantic HTML structure and a logical heading order, so assistive technology can navigate the content.
• Provide descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
• Choose text and background colors intended to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA contrast ratios.
• Keep interactive elements reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
• Honor the operating system’s reduced-motion preference, so animations are suppressed for people who ask for that.
• Label buttons, links, and controls so their purpose is clear when read out of context.
• Design layouts that reflow on small screens and at increased zoom without loss of content.

Where we stand

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making web content more accessible. We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

This site is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. We have not yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit, and we would rather say so plainly than claim a level of conformance we have not verified.

What we are still working on

We are aware of the following, and we are working to address them:

• Patient story videos. Our patient films are hosted on YouTube. Automatic captions may be incomplete or inaccurate, and not every film has a reviewed transcript yet.
• Pages still being rebuilt. Parts of the site are mid-rebuild. Older pages may not yet meet the same standard as newly built ones.
• Third-party content. Embedded services such as video players and mapping do not fully sit under our control, and their accessibility can change without notice.
